Food Safety Modernization Conversation Workshop

The Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), the most sweeping reform of our food safety laws in more than 70 years, was signed into law by President Obama on January 4, 2011. FSMA aims to ensure the U.S. food supply is safe by shifting the focus from responding to contamination of the food supply to preventing it.

By September 17th of this year all business sizes should be in compliance with both the cGMP and Preventive Controls requirements. This workshop is an opportunity for the regulated industry and regulators to come together and listen to perspectives from each side of the table. The goal would be to walk away from this workshop with a better understanding of the requirements of the Food Safety Modernization Act and what we all can continue to do to cultivate a food safety culture in the feed industry.
