Our first-ever virtual annual meeting is taking place August 5 to 7, 2020. This year’s meeting will consist of convenient half-day sessions and a digital format that allows for broader participation from state and federal animal feed and pet food officials, as well as the regulated community. The meeting will also coincide with the annual meeting of the Association of American Plant Food Control Officials (AAPFCO), which will take place July 31 and August 3 and 4, 2020.

Our AAFCO virtual annual meeting will include the following:

  • An update on the effect of COVID-19 from Timothy Schell, director of the Office of Surveillance and Compliance with the US Food and Drug Administration’s Center for Veterinary Medicine;
  • Discussions from a range of committees, including the Ingredient Definitions, Pet Food, and Laboratory Services Committees; and
  • Availability for registrants to interact and ask questions.

Full-registration participants will have access to an on-demand library of committee discussions and programming after the conclusion of the 2020 AAFCO Annual Meeting.

Committee discussion will also be available in listen-only mode through complimentary access on a first-come, first-served basis. No registration is needed for the listen-only mode. The phone number will be on each committee agenda.

Committee agendas will be publicly available on this website according to our usual timeline. We estimate that this will be on or about July 22.
