The Ingredient Submission Training Course is specific to U.S. regulatory approvals (AAFCO Ingredient Definitions, Food Additive Petitions or GRAS Notifications) for ingredients to be used in premixes, livestock feeds and pet foods in the United States. There are two portions to this course – online modules that are available on Digital Chalk and an in-person portion, which will be held January 16, 2023, in San Antonio, Texas, just prior to the AAFCO Midyear meeting. Although the online modules are not required as a prerequisite, the in-person portion, participants are STRONGLY encouraged to have completed the online course prior to the in-person training. The half-day meeting in San Antonio will provide an opportunity for attendees to learn more about the various ingredient approval processes in the U.S. beyond what has been described in the online modules and provide Q&A opportunities with AAFCO and FDA/CVM subject matter experts.
