Registration for the 2024 Basic Inspector Training Seminar (BITS) in Boise, ID, is now open. This seminar will introduce new regulators to every aspect of food inspection, including an in-the-field training day. 

The FDA is seeking stakeholder comments on a set of documents that outline the agency’s transition plan as well as the new interim Animal Food Ingredient Consultation process (AFIC). Read the draft guidelines and comment submission instructions on AAFCO’s website. Comments are due to FDA by Sept. 9. 

Through AAFCO’s CLEAR membership, members have access to an international network of regulators, testing professionals, agency administrators, researchers and more.

Animal Food PCQI Trainings

There are a number of Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) trainings available this fall. These courses are intended for regulators and manufacturers to ensure the safe manufacturing/processing, packing and holding of food products for animal consumption, and meet FDA requirements as stated within the Food Safety Modernization Act regulations.

NC State | CFIA Feed Education Week

NC State University and the Carolina Feed Industry Association (CFIA) are holding training courses, sessions and roundtable discussions covering a wide range of topics and current issues relevant to feed industry professionals.

AFIA-KSU 500 Feed Manufacture Short Course

The AFIA-KSU 500 Feed Manufacture Short Course provides an in-depth review of the components of feed manufacturing in a structured self-paced system. The course will run runs Oct. 1 - Nov. 5.
