Pet Food Labeling Workshop Recap

Thank you to the 64 participants who joined us for our recent Pet Food Labeling Workshop on May 1! Together, we covered all of the AAFCO Model Pet Food & Specialty Pet Food Regulations, had several productive interactive sessions, and tackled real-life scenarios through open Q&As. Attendees walked away with practical experience and the tools they need to update labels with greater transparency for today's consumers.

We will be holding another Pet Food Labeling Workshop at the tail end of this year's Annual Meeting. Learn more and register on our event page

AAFCO is inviting feedback from industry professionals and the public on three food items proposed for inclusion in its Common Food Index (CFI). Common Foods items are commercially available foods such as seeds, vegetables, or fruits that are safe and suitable for use in animal food but are not formally defined by AAFCO. The CFI is intended to serve as a trusted resource to animal food manufacturers and consumers.

Please review the proposed ingredients and submit all feedback by Friday, May 23, 2025.
