SAFHER System Update: Important Information for State Agencies

The Association of Food and Drug Officials (AFDO) has finalized an agreement to transfer the SAFHER platform to Appain. Appian now has full rights to further develop and expand its use across public health, food and agriculture programs. States interested in implementing SAFHER should contact Zakee Rawn (zakee.rawn@appian.com) with Appian to begin the conversation about procurement.

Are You Familiar with AAFCO's Proficiency Testing Program?

AAFCO's Proficiency Testing Program (PTP) helps regulatory, industry, and commercial feed labs ensure accurate results that are in line with international standards at a low cost.


Proficiency testing rounds are distributed on a set schedule and analyzed by each lab for specific analytes using specified AAFCO method codes and units. Results are statistically evaluated, and labs receive performance scores for each analyte and method reported.
